History
In 2008 we discovered the ruins on the estate in Belforte del Chienti which had been abandoned for 30 years. The existing buildings consisted of 3 contiguous houses, a stable and a hay barn. The view over the farmlands was magnificent and was the deciding factor for the purchase of the five hectare site with buildings. Most of the roofs and floors had collapsed and trees were growing inside. Due to the poor condition of the buildings, restoration proved impossible. That is why the idea arose to carefully demolish it and completely rebuild it in the local Marcheian style, reusing the materials released during the demolition. For the design, the construction of traditional buildings in the area was considered. This is reflected in the outside staircase, large stable doors and several verandas with a wide view of the surroundings. This, in combination with a modern and stylish interior, has resulted in a luxurious guest house.
The name
It took some time to decide what the name of the estate would be. Case Sabine was the original name of the farm, but with this name We felt that the dream and beautiful location did not come to expression. We decided to give it a name that has its origins in our very first visit to the estate. The setting sun made the hill look like gold, hence "Collina d'Oro" or golden hill.
